A report by the Combined [British/US] Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee (CIOS); June 1944



CIOS report on the original prototype Italian Campini aircraft with a ducted airscrew or fan, and ducted exhaust, a forerunner of true jet propulsion.

Duplicated typewritten report in English, 10 x 7.5 inches, 25 x 19 cms. 80 pages, 10 photographs, other illustrations, inc. one large and folding.

Very good in original stapled card wrappers.

A visit was made in June 1944 by S/Ldr F.E. Pickles, attached to MAAF (Mediterranean Allied Forces) Intelligence to investigate the original Campini prototype aircraft captured at Guidonia Aerodrome, North-East of Rome.

This major and important report on the Italian Caproni-Campini aircraft was issued in late 1944 by the then newly-established Combined Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee.
