An evocative reminder of late 1800s and early 1900s Yorkshire industry and heavy engineering

7 x 5 inches (18 x 12 cms). 16 sections of various types of pwoer transmitting equipment in 815 pages.

Original limp black cloth binding a touch worn at the edges but sound, firm and clean.

A magnificently illustrated trade catalogue, with pricing, of gearings, pulleys, clutches, swivelling bearings and similar mechanical devices for the transmission of power.

The publication date is unknown although two of the illustrations towards the rear of the book are dated '1896'. The volume is clearly pre-WWI, i.e. late Victorian or Edwardian.

This work, issued by Croft's (Engineers) Ltd: Largest Sole Makers of Power Transmitting Machinery and Appliances under the British Flag - is a magnificent reminder of Bradford's industrial heritage.
