A report by the Combined [British/US] Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee (CIOS); April 1945
The report by CIOS on experimental engines by Heinkel at Staatliche Salinen, a salt mine at Kochendorf near Friedrichshall.
CIOS 'Black List of targets for urgent investigation' category: Jet propulsion
Duplicated typewritten report in English, 10 x 7.5 inches, 25 x 19 cms. 24 pages, 1 folding plan, 15 photographs
Very good in original stapled card wrappers.
Heinkel-Hirth are best known for their development of the HeS 011/ 109-011, an advanced WW2 jet engine. This report almost certainly was on part of that development uncovered during the early stages of investigating the company's activities.
