Description of Junkers .004 (203) Jet Propulsion Engines

A report by the Combined [British/US] Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee (CIOS); December 1944

Three separate reports combined into one on the manufacture of Junkers jet engines at the Matford Plant, Strasbourg.

CIOS 'Black List of targets for urgent investigation' category: Jet propulsion; aircraft engines

Duplicated typewritten report in English, 10 x 7.5 inches, 25 x 19 cms. 33 pages, 6 photographs, other illustrations

Very good in original stapled card wrappers.

Reports I and II are by ALSOS US Navy members, report III by a CIOS team.

The ALSOS Mission was created following the September 1943 Allied invasion of Italy to search for enemy scientific personnel, records, material, and sites and prevent their capture by the Soviet Union.

'ALSOS' was a code name (the Greek word for 'grove'), not an acronym.
